The MFPS conference dinner is at Gostilna Čad, Cesta na Rožnik 18, Ljubljana (map), on Tuesday, 2 June 2026 at 19:00. We will be seated in the restaurant garden — the temperature is expected to drop to around 18 °C by 23:00, so you may want to bring a jacket.
Getting there
- From the MFPS venue, on foot — about 2.1 km / 30 min (walking route).
- From the city centre through Tivoli park — about 2.2 km / 30 min (walking route). A pleasant pre-dinner walk if the weather holds.
- By public transport — use Google Maps with Cesta na Rožnik 18 as the destination. Fare €1.50, paid by contactless card on the bus (see local information).
Menu
A cold-and-warm buffet:
- Starters — dry-cured ham (pršut), venison salami, grilled porcini mushrooms, grilled button mushrooms, creamy white cheese (kajmak), fresh white cheese.
- Mains — grilled minced-meat fingers (čevapčiči), grilled meat patties with cheese (uštipci), medium-spicy sausages, fried chicken, pork medallions in mushroom sauce, octopus slow-roasted under a bell (hobotnica izpod peke).
- Vegetarian/Vegan — Čad’s bowl: lettuce, radicchio, spinach, bulgur, seasonal vegetables, mango and feta, with a honey-mustard dressing. The vegan version is the same, without the feta.
- Sides — roast potatoes, French fries, slow-cooked beans with onions (prebranec), grilled vegetables, Balkan flatbread (lepinja), spicy cheese-and-pepper relish (urnebes), red pepper relish (ajvar).
- Salads — tomato and cucumber with grated white cheese (šopska solata), roasted peppers, mixed salad.
- Desserts — phyllo pastry with nuts and syrup (baklava), layered cake of poppy seeds, walnuts, apple and cottage cheese (prekmurska gibanica), set cream pudding (strjenka), the restaurant’s signature crêpes (čadove palačinke).
- Drinks — red and white wine, juice and water are served at the table and are included; anything else you order is paid for separately.
